Q: IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY, WHAT ANTIQUE OR COLLECTIBLE WOULD YOU BUY IMMEDIATELY?

A: An early print of Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico, by Ansel Adams.

Q: WHAT IS THE MOST GORGEOUS ANTIQUE YOU EVER SAW, IN A PRIVATE COLLECTION, OR EVEN A MUSEUM?

A: A painting of a little old woman sitting in a chair in a room lit by candle light, by Rembrandt . It was in the Scottish National Museum in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Q: WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING STORY YOU KNOW ABOUT ANY OF THE ANTIQUES YOU HAVE EVER HAD?

A: I have a large, 13-inch tall, hand-thrown vase from the late 1800s that I bought for $2. This was at a garage sale in Hermitage at 11 a.m. on a Saturday morning. To date, it's my favorite treasure hunt find.

Q: WHAT ANTIQUE TREND DO YOU LOVE RIGHT NOW?

A: I really don't follow trends; if I like it, I like it.

Q: WHAT GENRE OF ANTIQUES DO YOU HAVE AS A COLLECTION? IS THERE A GENRE OF ANTIQUES OR COLLECTIBLES YOU WOULD LIKE TO COLLECT IN THE FUTURE?

A: I collect anything Arts and Crafts.

Q: ARE ANTIQUES A GOOD INVESTMENT?

A: I think that as long as you have knowledge about what you're buying and you buy what you like, then it's a good investment.

Q: HAVE YOU EVER RECYCLED OR "UPCYCLED" AN ANTIQUE/VINTAGE ITEM?

A: My wife Charlotte and I have a coffee table that was a school library table; I shortened the legs on it. We love it.
