Party for GasLamp’s 10th Anniversary

By Rusti Greene

GasLamp Antiques and GasLamp Too are celebrating their 10th anniversary with a birthday party on Saturday, March 15, 2014.  The event will be held at both locations and feature an assortment of giveaways, dealer sales, special music and refreshments.

“We've grown so much in 10 years” said Lauren H. Bugg, owner of the GasLamp Antiques and GasLamp Too. "The mall has progressed in many ways – from what we offer to whom we serve.  We're also so proud of the incredible talent who call GasLamp and GasLamp Too home.

Known as "GasLamp Antiques & Decorating Mall," the store opened in 2004, upstairs in the Staples building at 100 Oaks. With a few dozen dealers and a handful of staff, the mall has steadily grew until the dealer waiting list was well over 200 people. In August 2012, GasLamp Too opened its doors, doubling the mall's size and merchandise.

Bugg, who has an inherited draw to mercantile, points to her grandfather, who owned his own hardware and furnishings store and the First State Bank in northwest Arkansas, when it was still part of the west.

“I love talking with our customers who come from all over the world to shop with us,” Bugg said. “On March 15th, we want to thank everyone who has given us these wonderful 10 years.”

In addition to sales, music and refreshments, the stores will offer gift card drawings every hour. The event is open to the public at 100 Powell Place, Suite 200, and at 128 Powell Place, 37204, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m..
