GasLamp Too
By Rusti Greene

Considered Nashville's best mall for antiques and unique furnishings, GasLamp Antiques has announced the opening of its second location, GasLamp Too.  With another 147 booths and almost as many new dealers, the new store, at 26,000 square feet, will double the mall’s current size, making for more than an acre of retail space between the two.

GasLamp Too’s grand opening will be on Saturday, Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the new location at 128 Powell Place, which is exactly one-third mile from the original store.  The event will feature special sales, hourly giveaways and fiesta style refreshments.  Its timing will coincide with the annual “Fall Fiesta” celebration, which will occur at the original GasLamp Antiques location at 100 Powell Place.

“We felt that the time to expand was now,” said GasLamp owner Lauren Bugg of opening the second location.  “With the recent closing of several similar local businesses, we wanted to give those dealers a place to land and give our current dealers an opportunity to expand."

With an industrial feel, GasLamp Too is located a newly converted warehouse with an open floor plan, ready to serve the greater Nashville area and beyond, Bugg added.

Home to more than 300 vendors, GasLamp and GasLamp Too offer an assortment of high-quality antiques, retro furnishings, home accessories, books, industrial pieces and more.  Named "Best Antique Mall" by the Nashville Scene Readers’ Poll every year since 2004, GasLamp houses an eclectic assortment of merchandise and host a variety of "how-to" workshops and quarterly appraisal fairs; GasLamp Too will add to that high level of service.
Both locations are open daily from Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m to 6 p.m., and Sunday, noon until 6 p.m.  Sign up online for the weekly e-zine, Design Elements, at or call 615.297.2224 for more information.
