The Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Company operated in the U.S. from 1852 to 1940, producing such items of beauty as this antique banquet lamp with hand-painted shade. Such lamps are often called "Gone with the Wind" lamps, as they were seen in the famous movie that depicted the Civil War and the years directly following. But the use of the lamp as a prop is one of many historic bloopers that surround this classic film, for these lamps were initially created during the mid-to-late 1870s, slightly later than the time frame depicted in the movie.
